Medical University of Lublin with its registered office at Al. Racławickie 1, 20-059 Lublin, NIP 712-010-69-11, REGON 000288710 (hereinafter: MU) as the personal data controller (PDC) informs that the data collected through the Editorial and Publishing Platform of the MU in Lublin will be processed only to ensure the proper publishing process of the sent scientific articles.
The data will be processed by the PDC on the basis of Article 6(1)(b) of Regulation (EU) No 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (the so-called General Data Protection Regulation/GDPR), i.e. in connection with the maintenance of a proper publishing process, in particular for archival purposes, and for the establishment and pursuit of possible claims, during the period for which the purpose of processing is achieved and thereafter within the periods permitted by law or provided for in the internal regulations of the PDC.
In accordance with Articles 15-21 and 77 of the General Data Protection Regulation, the data subject shall have the right to access, rectify, erase or restrict the data processed, the right to object to the data processing and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, as well as the right to transfer the data.
Providing data is voluntary, but necessary for the purpose of data processing, i.e. for the proper implementation of the publishing agreement. The PDC also informs that, based on personal data, no automated decisions will be taken, no data will be sold or made available to third parties, except for the entities and the circumstances in which they are disclosed, as provided for by law.
